Here’s All About CPR Procedure!

Do you know the procedure of CPR? Or do you even know CPR full form? Well, I guess some of you do have a rough idea of it, but is it enough? No, it’s not! That’s why, I am here to extend the sphere of your knowledge. Who knows, you can be a lifesaver for someone!

Note How To Perform CPR

Before beginning, I would like to discuss CPR full form which is cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Now, the next question that usually strikes most of the minds is what is CPR. To put it simply, you can understand it to be a lifesaving procedure that is performed when the heart stops performing. This procedure is very essential for those as well who feel tough to breathe and are unable to get urgent medical attention.

There are several reasons why a person might feel tough to breathe such as choking, heart attack, roach traffic accident, near-drowning, suffocation, poisoning, smoke inhalation, and electrocution. And when someone receives CPR, it results in ensuring that oxygen-rich blood reaches the brain, and it’s very important because when oxygen doesn’t reaches the brain, it might become the cause of death

5 Steps of CPR Procedure

1. Call for Medical Help

Before you actually start performing CPR, you should not forget to call for medical help. After all, CPR can help a bit but proper medical attention is something that is usually required by the person to get back to his feet. And getting such contact numbers is very tough these days.

2. Open the Airway by Placing the Person on the Back

The next step is to place the person in a relaxing position like we usually sleep on our backs and kneel down towards his chest. Now look for any blockage such as food or vomit. Next, you need to check if the person is able to breathe even a little bit or not.

3. Perform Chest Compressions

Up next, you need to clasp your hands together and with the heel of your hands push hard and fast on the center of the chest of that person. Also, make sure you push at least 2 inches deep at the rate of 100 times per minute which means 30 chest compressions

4. Give 2 Rescue Breaths

After chest compressions, the necessary part is a rescue breath which you need to give by pinching the nose of the person and placing your mouth over him followed by blowing. Now check if the person is able to breathe, if he’s not, tilt his head and try a second breath.

5. Repeat Previous Steps

If you see that there’s no improvement in the condition of the person, try repeating 30 chest compressions followed by 2 rescue breaths. After the second attempt, you’ll surely see an improvement in the condition of the person.

Final Verdict

I hope by now, you must have learned a lot about the CPR procedure and what is CPR. To sum up, it’s right to say that CPR is a lifesaving procedure for someone who is suffering from a heart attack or has stopped breathing followed by a trauma.

Whether it’s a child or adult, the steps remain the same for CPR and you can easily save life before an ambulance comes. So, use these steps and let us know if you were able to save someone’s life!
